No one likes it and no one wants to do it, except for me I think, but it is a necessary evil. This course is relevant at the headquarters and tactical level. I understand that most missions, outside of military operations, don’t allow time for planning but it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have a deeper understanding of the process. It’s the understanding of the operational process and mission planning that helps you to make timely and accurate decisions, to include developing a hasty plan for a time sensitive target.
Although this course is open to everyone, it is centered around tactical/law enforcement operations. It’s a two day, eight hours a day, course. This timeframe is as short as it can get.
